About the Workplace

The municipal adult education in Sala is run in-house: Komvux as special education, SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), a number of courses within Komvux at the basic and upper secondary levels, as well as healthcare education. We share premises with Kungsängsgymnasiet at the southern entrance to Sala. At Vuxnas lärande, 14 teachers work in four work teams along with administrative staff, totaling 20 people. As one of our teachers is moving on to another position, there is an opportunity for you to become one of our employees.

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you will plan, implement, document, and follow up on the pedagogical work in accordance with the guidelines in the adult education's steering documents. You will be part of a work team with others who teach at the SFI, basic, and upper secondary levels. Together with your colleagues, you will work to develop the operations and provide conditions for good goal achievement for the students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree with eligibility to teach Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) as well as Swedish at the upper secondary level. Qualification in additional subjects is meritorious. Previous experience working within adult education is meritorious. You are a proficient user of digital tools and see this as a natural part of teaching. You are open to collaboration as we promote a work environment that strengthens collegial learning both within and between work teams.

Since adult education is constantly influenced by societal development, you must be solution-focused and flexible, as well as seeing opportunities in changes. Terms of Employment

Full-time, permanent, probationary employment.
Start date: 2025-08-01 or as agreed.
Individual salary setting.
